Awakeri Soccer Club... the Greatest Junior Soccer Club in New Zealand

A catch up game was played between Awakeri Adamson’s Pharmacy
and Whakatane 13th grade teams mid week.
Whakatane played well in the first half with a good passing game, which saw
the Awakeri goalie having to work hard. Numerous attacks were finally rewarded
with a well-deserved goal. The second half saw a much more committed effort
from Awakeri with excellent defence from Mark Ernest and Neil Sax. The forwards,
Ben McPherson, Kelly Stanton and David Wakelin had some good ball from the mid
field but were unable to finish on some good opportunities.
Players of the day went to Mark Ernest and Ben McPherson for their 100% effort.
Final score 1-0 to Whakatane.
