Only three team played today, with everyone else having finished their seasons. 11th grade Raptors wrapped up second place in the league with a good win against Kawerau. Awakeri were able to use their passing and speed game to advantage at Tarawera Park on Saturday with a comprehensive win over Kawerau. All players impressed with strikers enjoying extra space and able to convert most opportunities given with a final score 6+ - 0 to Raptors. Player of day was Levi Murphy for his all round attacking and defensive effort.
Awakeri Athletic had a great game going down 2 nil to Saint Josephs in the 9th grade. Everyone gave it 100% being their last game, so all received player of the day and munched out on some krispy kream donuts!
Awakeri Phoenix played Saints Storm in the 8th grade. Saints won 6+ - 0. Player of the day went to Kalani Henman for great all round play.
