With ten of its games postponed through sodden fields, the one shining light for the Awakeri Soccer Club was its 15th grade team. Awakeri had a 5 - 1 win at home against Ngongotaha.
In the 13th grade, both Awakeri teams struggled to find enough players. CJ McIndoe Builders Awakeri Dragons held out against Saints for a while, before the pressure became too great and Saints had a comfortable win. Gemma Orr-McKeown was player of the day for Dragons.
The Wrangler Awakeri Aces had to borrow players from Ohope Storm, thereby defaulting the game. However, they did have an entertaining friendly game, a 4 - 4 draw, where keeper Dean Frost was again outstanding.
In the 11th grade 1st division, Awakeri Knights had a hard game at Otakiri. The defence did well, led by player of the day Daniel Gow. Sam Holani was the scorer for Knights in a 5 - 1 loss.
