Captain Dylan Hoefsloot grabbed an early goal for the Wildhogs. However it needed some great saves by keeper Nicole Theobald and a player of the day performance by Ronnie Martens in the midfield to keep Matata out. Wildhogs won the game 1 - 0.
In the 15th grade, Awakeri had a top of the table clash with Whakatane. Both teams started well, with some early chances. Whakatane got the early lead with two goals.
