Awakeri is a soccer club based on the Awakeri School. We currently have 12 teams, the youngest being 6th grade (under 6 years), the oldest 13th grade.

Our teams play in the EBOPJFA (Eastern Bay of Plenty) leagues. The closest town to Awakeri is Whakatane (12 km away). We are part of Federation Three, one of the seven federations of New Zealand soccer.

Teams from 9th grade and older play in competitive leagues, that is results are kept. Most of our teams are mixed, i.e. both boys and girls, but we do have two all girl teams in the 11th grade.
