Family Soccer Rules

1. Seven players on the field Minimums 3 females
(can be negotiated)   1 primary school aged child
    Maximum 3 adult men

2. No offsides

3. No goalkeeper

4. All goal kicks taken from behind the goal line

5. No player allowed to touch the ball inside the marked area in front of goal - free kick if attacker touches ball - goal awarded if defender touches the ball

6. All goals to be below the height of the goal posts

7. All penalties, free kicks and corners are indirect (i.e. a goal can't be scored directly from them)

8. No dangerous tackles - remember the range of ages and sizes we have playing

9. A sporting attitude is needed from everyone. We do not use referees.

10. The ball is to be played in each third of the field - (i.e. no big kicks the length of the field)

11. The mown line is in the field of play, so the ball must cross over the mown line completely, to be out. The game is restarted with a throw in (two feet on the ground, two hands on the ball, the ball thrown from behind the head to another player)

12. If one team is three goals ahead, the opposition may put one extra player on, until the goal difference is back to one.

13. Make sure every one is having fun!

14. No sprigged boots to be worn. Most players wear sneakers.
